This was a brand new BBC food series screen in 2007.
Jean-Christophe Novelli visits the home of a couple / group of flat mates etc whose hectic lives lead them to reach for the phone rather than use their cookers. Jean-Christophe's task is not only to encourage them to change their habits, but also to show them how quick and easy it can be to make a version of the takeaway dish themselves. His challenges are to beat the takeaway in time, cost and taste.
Jean-Christophe's version of the food must be purchased, prepared and cooked in the time it takes to order and receive the takeaway delivery.
The takeaway addicts must then taste the two competing versions without knowing which is which.
