Natasha Brown

Born and raised in Greater Manchester. At eighteen Natasha began a ceramics course in Bath and after 3 years acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree. She went on to study a post graduate certificate of education which provided her with the skills to teach. Natasha taught Art to school children in Africa and the UK for fifteen years.

Now living in Rochdale with her husband Tony and two daughters Francesca (15) and Georgia (12). When her girls were small Natasha became interested in cake decorating and set about learning the skills required to set up Brown’s Cakes. The business started at home and progressed enough to open a shop in Rochdale Town Centre in 2011. Brown’s Cakes now has a successful team of staff. They were awarded “Celebration Cake Business of the Year 2015” at the prestigious Baking Industry Awards .

Natasha has published a children’s book illustrated with models that were made in sugar paste and following the fictional story of a cake maker whose cake she made for the queen is stolen.

Natasha was delighted to win a gold award at “Cake International” last year and recently won a worldwide competition to make a cake for the cover of “Cake Masters” magazine.
