Pamela Chen

Pamela grew up in Taiwan but has lived her entire adult life in the UK, with the last 14 years in the beautiful Cotswolds.

As a child, Pamela’s mum could never keep her out of the kitchen; since she got her own kitchen, she has been in her elements! For over 20 years, Pamela’s British family and friends were captivated by the tastes and smells of the Oriental food she prepared, and fascinated by watching her cook. They’d often comment on how easy she made it look.

Pamela loves to inspire people to create great-tasting homemade meals that are both quick and affordable to cook. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge, skills and enthusiasm for oriental food and showing people of all ages that it really is one of the simplest and quickest cuisines to pick up… and cook up!

Pamela runs cookery classes to suit all skill levels, including workshops to suit dairy-free and gluten-free diets. Pamela particularly loves making magic with simple ingredients to create stunning vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Pamela has collaborated with cookery schools in UK, appeared in live cookery shows and given talks on oriental cultures internationally. Pamela is a regular contributor on BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s Foodie Friday feature, sometimes cooking live on air! Pamela was invited on board Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 as a guest speaker, culinary presenter and guest chef in 2017, and on Seabourn Sojourn, Queen Elizabeth and again on Queen Mary 2 during their Asian tours in 2018, with her dishes offered on the menu in the restaurants on-board.
